Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer at the Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) will lead the Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team, shaping the design and ongoing management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure. Qualifications

• Extensive Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
• In-depth Linux knowledge and security awareness.
• Proficiency with Terraform IaC and scripting (Python).
• Familiarity with IAM, Networking, Storage, Compute and Governance.
• Experience leading cloud/infra engineering teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead SPPA Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team and set direction.
• Design, implement and maintain scalable Azure-based cloud services.
• Collaborate with suppliers and MSPs to deliver cloud solutions.
• Deploy infrastructure using IaC (Terraform) and support scripting activities.
• Engage with IT Change and Architecture Boards to ensure secure, compliant services.
• Own incidents and drive preventative measures with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain governance and security controls across the environment.
