Job summary

The Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of cloud infrastructure across Azure and wider platforms. Based in Tweedbank with hybrid working, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and partners to deliver scalable, secure solutions and ensure governance and continuous improvement.

You will line-manage the Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team and apply IaC with Terraform, Python scripting

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud services and Linux systems.
• Proficient in Python scripting and DevOps tooling.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform.
• Experience in IAM, Networking, Storage and Governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and line manage the Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering team.
• Deliver design, implementation and maintenance of critical cloud services with deep cloud expertise.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and MSPs to deploy scalable cloud solutions.
• Apply information security practices and contribute to IT change and architecture boards.
• Own issues end-to-end, coordinating with specialists for preventive measures.
