Job summary

Visa is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer in London to design, build, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive reliability and efficiency across the global payment network.

The role focuses on IaC with Terraform, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation, while emphasising security, monitoring, and performance. Global-scale impact, in-office three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry cloud or DevOps certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS services at scale (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform.
• Manage containerised workloads with Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm.
• Design, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Jenkins, Terraform Cloud).
• Build monitoring and observability with CloudWatch, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
• Ensure security and compliance across cloud infrastructure and secrets governance.
• Collaborate with developers and platform teams; create clear runbooks and diagrams.
• Explore AI-assisted tooling for IaC and automation under team reviews.
