Job Description:

Kent – Hybrid (2-3 days on site)

VIQU has partnered with a leading automotive organization looking to expand their Cloud team. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a crucial role in safeguarding cloud architecture, implementing security best practices, and providing solutions to security challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud security, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Act as a senior technical stakeholder, owning key cloud initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Use Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Partner with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure environments.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Expertise in AWS cloud networking and third-line support (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPCs).
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments, both on-premises and cloud.
• Minimum 4 years of AWS security experience, including VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, Route 53.
• Experience in system architecture, compute, memory, and storage design.
• A proactive individual with a growth mindset, aiming for progression toward an Architect role.
