Job summary

A leading automotive organization seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen their Cloud team. In this hybrid role, you'll design secure architectures and work closely with the Information Security team and DevOps to implement industry best practices. Kent – Hybrid (2-3 days on site)

VIQU has partnered with a leading automotive organization to expand their Cloud team. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding cloud architecture, implementing security best practices, and providing actionable solutions to security challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Act as a senior technical stakeholder, owning key cloud initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Use Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Partner with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Expertise in AWS cloud networking and third-line support (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPCs).
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• At least 4 years of AWS security experience (VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, Route 53).
• Experience in system architecture, including compute, memory, and storage design.
• A proactive individual with a growth mindset, aiming for progression towards an Architect role.
