context recruitment is partnering with a global manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will design, implement and support Azure infrastructure, manage security and networking, and mentor junior colleagues while driving improvements across cloud services.

This position offers hybrid working with 3 days on site and a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating Azure environments.
• Hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure expertise.
• Strong networking, VPNs, firewalls, and WAN knowledge.
• PowerShell scripting and automation proficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Manage Azure networking, security, governance, performance.
• Support enterprise networking: routing, switches, VPNs, WAN.
• Administer Intune and Entra ID environments.
• Develop IaC with Terraform.
• Build automation with PowerShell.
• Support Azure DevOps deployment processes.
• Maintain SQL Server and Azure data services.
• Serve as senior technical escalation point.
• Contribute to cyber security initiatives.
• Lead infrastructure projects and improvements.
• Produce technical documentation and standards.
• Mentor junior team members.
