Job summary

Gold Group Limited is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to own cloud infrastructure and security within our London-area MSP environment. You’ll work closely with a skilled team to enhance client IT performance, network, and security posture.

You’ll lead deployments, automate tasks, and liaise with clients to deliver robust solutions, while keeping up with evolving technologies and best practices in cloud security and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within IT support / MSP environment.
• FortiGate/Fortinet experience is highly desirable.
• Strong Microsoft 365 / Office 365 knowledge.
• Experience with Conditional Access and SharePoint administration.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls and routers.
• Excellent Windows hardware and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.
• Experience responding to or supporting cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Power BI knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support and improve client cloud infrastructure and security environments.
• Create scripts and automation to improve cloud deployments and reporting, particularly within SharePoint.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex firewall and networking queries.
• Configure, test and deploy updates to firewalls, routers and associated network infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate security, network and infrastructure documentation.
• Support and develop Microsoft 365, Conditional Access, SharePoint and MDM environments.
• Work with third-party suppliers to deliver technical services and solutions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Manage multiple client requirements and technical projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Keep up to date with new technologies, product releases, licensing and pricing changes.
• Understand solution costs, engineering time and commercial considerations to ensure clients receive strong ROI.
• Support the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge and improving technical standards.
