Job summary

AVEVA Group in Cambridge is recruiting for a hybrid role to design, build and operate scalable SaaS platform services on Azure. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, work with AVEVA CONNECT, and ensure the scheduling solution meets end-user needs in a cross-functional team.

The role requires strong C#, Kubernetes (AKS), Angular frontend experience and a proactive, collaborative approach in a production environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience and strong understanding of core Azure services, including compute, storage, security, monitoring, and diagnostics.
  • Skilled in Kubernetes container orchestration platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Highly proficient in C# with experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs in a CI/CD environment.
  • Proactive, self-starting approach.
  • Ownership mentality and care for what you build and how it runs in production.
  • Collaborative mindset, willingness to ask questions, share knowledge, support teammates, and coach or mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude when faced with challenges or unfamiliar territory.
  • Frontend web framework experience, preferably Angular.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of highly available and scalable SaaS platform services in Azure.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps.
  • Engage with technical members in enabling teams responsible for the AVEVA CONNECT Platform.
  • Proactively identify and communicate technical issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, build, and operate the services that provide our SaaS scheduling solution for the oil and gas industry.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional product development team to ensure our solution addresses end-user needs and delights customers.

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year
