In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.

The primary role of a Senior Clinical Support Worker is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multi-disciplinary team, in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to person centred care. The Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and wellbeing of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion. Working independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of the registered nurse.

The Senior Clinical Support Worker should demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurses. Undertaking both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent. Key to this role is the flexibility requirement for staff to work variable shifts over 7 days a week.
