Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a motivated Senior Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to join the busy ENT clinic team, providing basic patient care, assisting with procedures and helping run daily clinic sessions.

The position requires about 12 months of NHS or equivalent Healthcare Assistant experience, Numeracy/Literacy to Level 1, Care Certificate (or to complete within 12 weeks), and NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent)
• IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing)

• Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment

Job overview

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.

Main duties of the job

In this post you will be responsible for providing some basic elements of patient care, assisting with procedures/chaperoning and organising the daily running of the clinics.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support Worker to join our busy ENT clinic team. In this post you will be responsible for providing some basic elements of patient care, assisting with procedures/chaperoning and some clerical duties such as dealing with patient notes and referrals. Our aim is to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of patient care.
