Job summary

Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Research Nurse (Band 6) for a part-time role (28 hours/week) to lead and deliver high-quality clinical research across NGH. You will manage a portfolio of studies, ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, and drive improvements in data quality and participant experience.

The post requires leadership of a nursing and admin team, strong regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to advancing research within the Trust and its CRDC partners.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Experience delivering clinical research in an acute hospital setting
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and UK policy frameworks for health research
• Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and manage resources

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of clinical research studies
• Ensure delivery of high-quality data in line with ICH-GCP and governance requirements
• Support recruitment, consent processes and participant safety in studies
• Provide mentorship and development for the research nursing and admin team
• Coordinate study setup, conduct, and close-out across sites as needed
