Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8b Principal Clinical Psychologist to join the Older Adult Inpatient Psychology Service at Atherleigh Park Hospital, Leigh. This fixed-term role blends clinical leadership with service development across the inpatient pathway and Golborne Unit.

The post offers maternity leave cover with flexible hours (24 per week) and a supportive network to enhance leadership, quality improvement and clinically informed care for older adults

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Additional training in a therapeutic modality or neuropsychology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership within Older Adult inpatient ward.
• Lead service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to embed psychologically informed care.
• Support development of psychological practice within the service.
