Job summary

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust seeks a highly specialist clinical psychologist to provide direct assessment and intervention for children and young people with learning disabilities within the CAMHS Learning Disability Team (CAMHS LD).

The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team, supervise trainees, and contribute to service development, governance, and research to improve outcomes for families and carers involved in CAMHS LD.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with learning disabilities.
• Provide psychological consultancy and staff support within multi-professional CAMHS LD delivery systems.
• Supervise trainee clinical psychologists and other professionals working with this client group.
• Liaise with other professionals and agencies to enable coordinated psychological intervention and care planning.
• Participate in regular clinical and multi-agency meetings concerning CAMHS LD services.
