Job summary

The Pharmacist Network is a pharmacist-led organisation supplying Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician services to general practices nationwide. It values patient-centred care and a culture of transparency and excellence, supported by a senior clinical team for training, development and workflow management within primary care and PCN settings.

We seek a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Office with admin and recruitment tasks.
• Maintain a safe clinical rota and staff logistics; manage rota updates.
• Collaborate with admin on rotas, cover, illness, and HR emails from pharmacists.
• Assist recruitment to recruit and retain staff; participate in interviews.
• Support Trainee Technicians with workload, training, and progress reviews.
• Draft, review, and sign off documents, policies and SOPs.
• Attend Senior weekly meetings and progress actions.
• Deliver training to ensure staff are competent within boundaries.
• Develop training guides, SOPs, and governance policies.
• Signpost CPPE/MORPh resources; provide research-based references.
• Conduct monthly 1-2-1s and annual appraisals; monitor competency.
• Observe CPPE activities and liaise with supervisors as required.
• Support PCN work streams and team progress reviews.
• Ensure clinical pharmacists operate within competency and provide holistic patient care.
• Audit practice workflows for medication safety and improvement.
• Implement local and national guidelines and medicines safety measures.
• Support governance agenda and risk management; respond to practice feedback.
• Assist with revalidation and GPhC registration processes.
