This position offers an excellent opportunity for a clinically experienced pharmacist to utilize their advanced knowledge to promote medicines optimisation in Dermatology. The role involves leading pharmacy services for dermatology patients, supporting professional development, and potentially practicing as an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assessment of prescriptions against clinical criteria
• Supporting patients and carers regarding medication
• Development of protocols, policies, and drug monographs
• Developing safe medicines management processes
• Providing advanced clinical practice for dermatology patients
• Maintaining prescription and treatment record systems
• Participating in electronic prescribing system development
• Independent prescribing of dermatology medications, including biological DMARDs for rheumatology patients, upon qualification
• Advising medical, nursing, and other staff on medicines use and security
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Supporting divisional pharmacists with drug usage and expenditure reports
