Job Summary

This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine. It is a permanent, full-time position offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care at Broomfield Hospital.

The culture in ED is grounded on the principle that the workforce is the most valuable asset, demonstrated through supportive, helpful, non-blaming, and friendly attitudes. The team approach is embedded throughout the department, with all staff focused on providing fast and effective patient care.

Main Duties of the Job

1. Contribute to emergency services at Broomfield Hospital by participating in the assessment, treatment, referral, and disposition of ED patients.
2. Work a shift pattern including weekends and nights. A tailored job plan to suit personal needs can be discussed during the interview.
3. Develop skills in managing the department to reduce unnecessary patient waits and ensure high-quality clinical care.
4. Participate in clinical audits and related activities.
5. Engage in continuing professional development; study leave is encouraged with financial support for relevant courses.
