Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This post is suitable for trainees with a strong interest in cardiothoracic surgery who wish to apply for a numbered training post in the future. Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery, not necessarily at SpR level, is essential. Ideally, trainees will have completed their MRCP Part One and hold up-to-date Adult Life Support certification.
Although these appointments are not accredited for training, appointees are expected to participate fully in the department and hospital's educational and training programs. Each appointee will have a designated educational supervisor. Annual leave and study leave are aligned with other foundation doctors.
