Post Location: University Hospital Wishaw
An opportunity has arisen to work in one of the largest Women’s Health Services in Scotland. NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to recruit an and dynamic Senior Clinical Fellow to join our award-winning Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. We are conveniently located in central Scotland with ready access to Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as to the Highlands of Scotland and the Borders.
The post is available from 6th August, 2025 until 5th August, 2026. We are looking for the successful candidates to have completed at least 3 years of obstetrics and Gynaecology training and have equivalent clinical experience of ST3.
As the post will have a 50 % teaching & educational component you should have a strong interest in Medical Education and have experience of providing medical teaching especially in the area on Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
These posts are based at University Hospital Wishaw, which provides all inpatient obstetric and gynecological care for the population of Lanarkshire. Gynecological outpatient and day care services are also provided at University Hospitals Hairmyres and Monklands, and antenatal care is provided at a large number of community Health Centers throughout the county. There are approximately 4,300 deliveries per year in the Maternity Unit. The successful applicants will join the middle grade Rota.
