Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Elderly Medicine at Chorley Hospital. The post offers registrar-level experience within an elderly care team led by four consultants, with opportunities to lead ward rounds and participate in on-call duties on the MAU.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy, and you will develop communication skills,

Qualifications

• Registrar-level experience in Elderly Medicine.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota and MAU.
• Progression towards specialty training or SAS/non-consultant routes.

Responsibilities

• Lead ward rounds, typically 16 patients.
• Support consultant-led ward rounds.
• Be involved in the general medicine on-call rota.
• Engage in MDT working with therapies (physiotherapy, occupational, speech & language).
• Attend weekly departmental meetings and medical grand rounds.
