Job summary

Gold Care Homes is seeking an experienced Shift Team Leader at St. Katharine’s in Wantage to provide clinical supervision to our Registered Nurses and lead a dedicated care team. You will ensure high clinical standards, oversee training and appraisals, and drive service improvement in a 84-bed home.

Qualifications

• Provide clinical supervision to Registered Nurses and ensure competency development.
• Maintain an up-to-date NMC pin and demonstrate professional leadership.
• Lead and develop care staff through training and role-modeling.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to RN team to meet residents' needs.
• Act as Shift Team Leader and supervise care staff development.
• Contribute to training and mandatory development activities.
• Ensure Gold Care standards and effective service operation.
• Monitor, audit and take corrective actions as required.
• Lead formal and informal staff appraisal and deployment.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and codes of practice.
• Support recruitment and liaise with maintenance and stakeholders.
• Promote the home to the community and maintain occupancy targets.
