Job summary

St Catherine's Nursing Home, part of St Cuthbert's Care, seeks an experienced Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and drive high standards of nursing care. You will lead the nursing and care teams, assess residents' needs, and ensure safe, effective planning and coordination of care.

The role focuses on professional guidance, governance, and collaboration with families and health professionals to support residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Proven nursing leadership experience.
• Experience in older people's care, ideally in a nursing or care home.
• Strong knowledge of care planning, assessment and risk management.
• Good understanding of clinical governance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and promote excellent nursing practice across the home
• Assess and review residents' clinical, health and social care needs, using your professional judgement to make appropriate clinical decisions
• Oversee care planning and risk assessment, ensuring care remains safe, effective and responsive to individual needs
• Work closely with residents, families and other health and social care professionals to plan and coordinate care
• Provide professional guidance, supervision and support to nursing and care colleagues, helping them develop their skills and confidence
• Maintain high clinical standards, ensuring practice meets NMC, CQC and organisational requirements
• Work alongside the Registered Manager to support the safe and effective day-to-day running of the home, including residents' admission and discharge
