Qualifications

• ACC Coding Qualification within last 3 years.
• AS/NVQ level 3 with GCSEs including Biology.
• BSC/Foundation Degree in related science subject.

Responsibilities

• Analyse patient records and assign accurate clinical codes using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.
• Ensure coding is completed to national standards and within reporting deadlines.
• Support income assurance, clinical audit, performance reporting and statutory returns through high-quality coded data.
• Collaborate with clinicians and colleagues to resolve coding queries and improve documentation quality.
• Participate in audit, quality improvement and service development activities.
• Contribute to ongoing digital transformation and innovation within Clinical Coding service.
