Job summary

One Earth is seeking a Senior Scientific Editor to shape the journal's climate content and editorial direction. You will oversee peer review for climate-related submissions, engage with authors and reviewers, and curate compelling content across sustainability disciplines.

We welcome editors who can contribute to thematic issues, outreach, and the journal’s broader strategy while collaborating with an international team.

Qualifications

• PhD, or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Editorial experience is preferred.
• Broad interest across sustainability research and climate-related topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee peer review for climate-related submissions and edit content.
• Engage with authors and reviewers to ensure rigorous and fair evaluation.
• Commission and edit Reviews, Perspectives, and front-matter content.
• Ideate and plan thematic issues and contribute to editorial strategy.
• Represent the journal at conferences and in external outreach.
