Job summary

Exmoor National Park Authority seeks a Senior Climate Change Officer to lead climate initiatives, coordinating a programme aligned with the National Park Management Plan. You will work with farmers, land managers, communities and businesses to reduce emissions, increase carbon sequestration and promote climate-positive land management across Exmoor.

You will lead the Climate Adaptation Plan delivery, identify funding opportunities and develop demonstration projects while embedding climate

Qualifications

• Experience developing, coordinating or delivering climate change, sustainability, environmental or land management projects.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders including farmers, land managers, communities and public bodies.
• Experience in or with protected landscapes, National Parks or environmental partnerships.
• Experience planning climate adaptation measures for estates, buildings or communities.
• Experience preparing funding bids or managing externally funded projects.
• Experience designing workshops, training or public engagement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of climate change initiatives to support net zero ambitions.
• Coordinate climate change programme within the National Park Management Plan and identify priorities.
• Lead delivery of Exmoor's Climate Adaptation Plan with stakeholders.
• Support emissions reduction efforts across operations and embed climate considerations.
• Develop adaptation plans for the estate and produce guidance and engagement materials.
