Job summary

Hawthorne-Finch Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Client Manager for an interim contract with a well-established West Yorkshire accountancy practice. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, acting as the primary contact for accounting and taxation matters while coordinating with Partners and senior stakeholders.

You will lead and review a team of accountants, prepare statutory and management accounts, oversee tax returns, and support junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 15 years' recent experience within a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and relationships.
• Strong technical accounts preparation skills across Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs.
• Experience reviewing and supervising the work of other accountants.
• Good knowledge of company and personal taxation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across sectors.
• Acting as the primary contact for clients on accounting and taxation matters.
• Liaising with Partners and senior stakeholders.
• Supervising and reviewing the work of a team of accountants.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Reviewing company and personal tax returns.
• Supporting the training and development of junior staff.
• Undertaking client meetings and site visits as required.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring high standards of client service.
• Assisting with workflow management and ad-hoc projects.
