Job summary

Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Client Accountant in Harrow to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, working directly with business owners and senior stakeholders. You will handle accounts preparation, VAT and management accounts, with advisory input.

The role offers progression toward a manager-level position within a supportive team, ongoing professional development, and exposure to year-end accounts and corporate tax work for owner-managed SMEs.

Qualifications

• Several years of accountancy practice experience
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax principles
• Experience preparing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
• Strong communication with clients and ability to explain financial information clearly
• Ability to coach and develop junior team members

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SME clients
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts and financial statements
• Completing corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns
• Preparing management accounts and providing meaningful financial insight
• Supporting VAT, bookkeeping and general accounting queries
• Building trusted relationships with clients and becoming their go-to accounting contact
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members
• Identifying opportunities for wider services for clients
• Managing deadlines across multiple client assignments with accuracy
