Job summary

MNK International in London seeks a Senior Claims Manager to lead its claims function, owning a portfolio of complex, high-value claims and guiding the wider team. You will drive standards, turnaround times, and client outcomes, acting as escalation point while collaborating with the Claims Director on strategy and governance.

Based in MNK International’s London office, you will influence client retention, service quality and read across Lloyd's and London Market expectations, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in claims management or handling within specialty wholesale (re)insurance.
• London Market/FCA-regulated experience is a plus.
• Experience handling complex, high-value, contentious claims through settlement.
• Strong knowledge of Lloyd's claims processes and IBA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Personally manage a portfolio of complex, high-value or contentious claims from notification to settlement.
• Act as day-to-day escalation point for the team on technical cases.
• Negotiate with insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters, and third-party administrators for optimal outcomes.
• Provide hands-on guidance on policy coverage, wording interpretation and dispute resolution.
• Lead and develop the claims team, including coaching and performance management.
• Oversee operations, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements in workflows and data reporting.
