Avencia Talent Solutions Limited is recruiting for a role within a collaborative Care Claims team in Leeds. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of technical claims across care, education and not-for-profit sectors, taking ownership of decisions and developing your career.

You’ll handle claims from notification through settlement, assess liability and policy coverage, and drive effective strategies with insurers, brokers and external experts, while growing your expertise and progression

What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll manage a varied caseload of claims involving organisations such as residential care providers, specialist adult care services, schools, charities and foster care providers.

• Handling claims involving personal injury, professional liability, public liability, management liability and historic abuse
• Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement or resolution
• Assessing liability, policy coverage and potential exposure
• Developing and driving effective claims strategies, including litigated matters
• Working closely with insurers, brokers, solicitors and external experts
• Building strong stakeholder relationships and managing competing priorities

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

• Experience handling technical insurance claims or a relevant legal background
• A strong understanding of liability claims and insurance policy wordings
• The ability to manage a varied caseload and progress claims independently
• Strong communication, organisational and decision‑making skills
• A proactive approach and a genuine interest in the care sector

Desirable:

• Experience within care, healthcare, education or related sectors
• Exposure to Employers' Liability, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity or Management Liability claims
• Experience handling personal injury, professional negligence or sensitive claims
• Legal qualifications or a willingness to study towards CII qualifications
