QBE is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster - P&I in London with expertise in offshore P&I, towage, and complex claim handling. The role involves leading investigations, reserving, and coordinating with underwriters, brokers and lawyers on high‑value cases.

You will mentor junior team members, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain robust claim documentation while working in a flexible hybrid London environment.

Qualifikationen

• International Group P&I Club or fixed premium P&I provider background
• P&I experience of offshore claims, tugboat/towage, specialist operations desirable
• Understanding of class specific P&I claims knowledge
• Strong organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management, ability to prioritise a busy caseload
• Knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements
• Effective presentation and communication skills for clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
• Able to build and maintain positive working relationships
• Able to produce MI and detailed reports at various levels

The purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional claims service by accurately assessing policy coverage, investigating, evaluating, and negotiating assigned cases to achieve fair and efficient resolutions.

Your new role

• Investigate, lead and resolve P&I claims in a professional and efficient manner
• Identify and investigate coverage issues
• Manage third parties, including P&I correspondents, surveyors, and lawyers
• Provide advice and mentorship to other members of the claims team
• Maintain accurate and consistent claim reserves in accordance with the QBE claims reserving philosophy
• Collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and assureds
• Manage claims on the claims management system (CALM)
• Maintain the document filing system (ODM)

About you

• International Group P&I Club or a fixed premium P&I provider background
• P&I experience of offshore claims, tugboat/towage, specialist operations, and contract review work are particularly desirable
• Understanding of class specific P&I claims knowledge, leading on the handling of complex matters
• Strong organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make balanced and impartial judgements
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy case load.
• Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements
• Effective presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
• Able to build and maintain positive working Relationships
• Able to produce MI and detailed reports at various levels
