Job summary

Our client, a leading consultancy specialising in the water sector, is recruiting a Senior Civils 3D Technician for a contract role in Leeds. The position offers hybrid working with occasional visits to the Leeds office and falls inside IR35.

You will produce detailed Civil 3D designs and drawings, collaborate with engineers and architects, review designs for compliance, manage drawing files, and support junior staff while ensuring standards and regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil engineering design within the water sector.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D software.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Relevant technical qualification in civil engineering or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing detailed civil engineering designs and drawings using Civil 3D software
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop designs
• Reviewing and checking technical designs and drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Managing and organising drawing files and project documentation
• Contributing to the development and improvement of design standards and procedures
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members
• Ensuring all designs and drawings adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations
• Participating in project meetings and providing input on technical aspects of projects
