Job summary

Caval Ltd in Hartlepool is seeking a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent with a strong civil engineering background to join a Main Contractor delivering a major energy project.

This long-term freelance role offers up to 5 years of work with an ongoing pipeline, focusing on civil coordination, QA/QC and project delivery, with offices based in Hartlepool and future work in Chesterfield and Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Sub Agent / Assistant Sub Agent or similar.
• Experience with Main Contractors.
• Strong QA/QC knowledge and documentation.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil engineering works.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Assist with planning and monitoring project works.
• Manage and maintain QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Review and maintain project records.
• Support wider project management and engineering team.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site activities.
