Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the Energy unit seeks Civil Engineers to join a fast-growing team working on nuclear, defence and other energy infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. You’ll contribute across the project lifecycle from feasibility to construction and commissioning, in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Working toward Chartered status.
• Experience in the Energy Sector or similar regulated industries is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate daily with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Proven ability to deliver high quality engineering solutions aligned with your expertise and skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all stages of project evolution from feasibility and concept to detailed design work, planning support, through to project construction and commissioning.
• Involved in multi-disciplinary projects that require liaising with Engineers internally within Mott MacDonald and external Clients/Stakeholders to provide cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Responsible for undertaking design of drainage, roads and/or earthworks on a wide variety of energy, defence and other infrastructure projects.
• Prepare, in English, specifications and minimum functional specifications for the civil engineering aspects of energy, defence and other infrastructure projects.
• Undertake civil inspections of infrastructure assets across the UK as part of asset maintenance and life extension. Prepare, in English, and provide to Client detailed inspection reports.
• Undertake site and client office visits, as per project requirements.
• Assist with project management, control and administration as appropriate to the level of experience.
