Job summary

LMR Resourcing seeks a Senior Civil Structural Designer (Revit, Water experience) for a contract role in Cardiff. The candidate will be based in Cardiff with occasional travel to other sites and must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities include producing 3D models, developing designs from concept to detail, and supporting projects through FEED and EPC stages. Travel to site and client liaison are expected.

Qualifications

• HNC in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD and design software for civil/structural deliverables.
• Revit experience is essential; water industry experience is advantageous.

Senior Civil Structural Designer (Revit, Water experience) - Contract - Cardiff

Location: Cardiff

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Water and Energy sectors. The role is based in our client's offices in Cardiff though occasional travel to other sites may be required.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production 3D civil and structural models, drawings, and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Will be developing structural designs from concept through to detailed design including structural steel, concrete structures, foundations and drainage infrastructure.
• Supporting projects through all stages from concept to FEED and detailed design / EPC.
• Attend and manage in-house or site-based meetings and reviews.
• Supporting interface for all key Civil / Structural enquiries regarding current or upcoming projects.
• Providing technical input to tenders and proposals as well as supporting manpower planning projections.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the project multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
• Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations.
• Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and site services.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Must have minimum HNC in Civil and / or Structural Engineering.
• Must have CAD and design software for the development of Civil and Structural deliverables.
• Experience using Revit is essential.
• Must have proven experience in the water industry.
• Additional experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors useful but not essential.

Additional Information

Initially a 12 month with the potential for extensions, this role is deemed to be outside IR35
