Job summary

LMR Resourcing represents a leading engineering business recruiting a Senior Civil Structural Designer for Pembroke. The role focuses on water sector projects, requiring Revit and AutoCAD proficiency and flexibility for travel to various sites.

The successful candidate will produce 3D civil/structural models, develop designs from concept to detailed design, and support projects through FEED and EPC stages while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• HNC in Civil and/or Structural Engineering required.
• Experience with CAD and design software for Civil/Structural deliverables.
• Proven experience using Revit is essential.
• Experience in the water industry is required.
• Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D civil and structural models, drawings, and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop structural designs from concept through to detailed design including steel, concrete, foundations, and drainage infrastructure.
• Support projects through all stages from concept to FEED and detailed design / EPC.
• Attend and manage in-house or site-based meetings and reviews.
• Interface for Civil / Structural enquiries regarding current or upcoming projects.
• Provide technical input to tenders and proposals and support manpower planning projections.
• Collaborate with other disciplines within the project team.
• Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
• Liaise with clients and manage their needs and expectations.
• Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and site services.

Senior Civil Structural Designer (Revit, Water experience) - Contract - Pembroke

Location: Pembroke

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Water and Energy sectors. The role is based in our client's offices in Cardiff though occasional travel to other sites may be required.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production 3D civil and structural models, drawings, and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Will be developing structural designs from concept through to detailed design including structural steel, concrete structures, foundations and drainage infrastructure.
• Supporting projects through all stages from concept to FEED and detailed design / EPC.
• Attend and manage in-house or site-based meetings and reviews.
• Supporting interface for all key Civil / Structural enquiries regarding current or upcoming projects.
• Providing technical input to tenders and proposals as well as supporting manpower planning projections.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the project multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
• Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations.
• Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and site services.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Must have minimum HNC in Civil and / or Structural Engineering.
• Must have CAD and design software for the development of Civil and Structural deliverables.
• Experience using Revit is essential.
• Must have proven experience in the water industry.
• Additional experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors useful but not essential.

Additional Information

Initially a 12 month with the potential for extensions, this role is deemed to be outside IR35
