Job summary

Parker Jones Group Ltd, a civil engineering specialist with over 40 years’ experience, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial performance on major infrastructure projects across the UK. You will administer contracts, manage costs and support project profitability from inception through final account.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will prepare and negotiate subcontracts, value works on site, submit valuations, and lead change control and proactive dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and Change Management.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs and commercial performance from start to final account.
• Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract agreements.
• Measure and value works on site and submit interim valuations.
• Manage change control, variations, compensation events and claims.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow; report to senior management.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams and clients; support procurement.
