Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the North West Regional Civils team. You will lead civil engineering projects from planning through to completion, coordinating diverse teams, stakeholders and resources to deliver on time and within budget.

The role focuses on driving project performance, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring safety and quality across deliverables. A proactive leader is essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery, planning, programming and commercial management.
• Experience managing project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Ability to manage budgets, programmes, resources and priorities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering projects to the required safety, time, budget and quality standards.
• Motivate multidisciplinary project teams and foster a collaborative working environment.
• Own project programmes, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with commercial, engineering, planning and operations teams to drive performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Identify and manage risks, opportunities and changes to maintain progress.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
