Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Warrington is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead engineering activities on civil projects, coordinating with site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery to project specs.

You will review drawings, manage setting-out and surveying, and ensure accurate engineering information supports construction. A strong background in site-based civil engineering and health & safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Site-based engineering experience in civil/construction industry.
• Experience at Senior Engineer level or able to step up.
• Strong grasp of construction methods, drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating engineering teams with site management and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of health and safety, QA, and environmental requirements.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities, ensuring safe and efficient delivery per project requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information for correct on-site implementation.
• Manage setting-out, surveying and providing accurate engineering information for construction.
• Coordinate with site management, design teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Monitor quality standards; ensure inspections and records are completed and defects addressed.
