Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Senior Engineer for Affinity Water projects based in Rickmansworth. You will own site engineering, mentor junior engineers and help deliver complex water infrastructure safely and to high quality standards.

Responsibilities include establishing survey control and setting out, ensuring QA and H&S compliance, collaborating with Project Managers and Designers, and developing ITPs and QA plans for continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in setting out civil engineering projects including infrastructure, highways and reinforced concrete works.
• CSCS Card, SMSTS Qualification and Confined Space Training.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering survey and setting out requirements.
• Experience delivering projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent reporting and record-keeping capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage survey control and site setting out for projects.
• Ensure site engineers have information and support for daily setting out.
• Be present during critical setting out and surveying operations.
• Maintain accurate engineering and H&S records.
• Deliver projects safely, sustainably and defect-free.
• Develop ITPs and Quality Management Plans.
• Resolve engineering and resource-related issues proactively.
• Attend design meetings with clients, designers and contractors.
