Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager for the Water sector, based at the Rickmansworth office with hybrid working available. You will lead design teams through design phases across a portfolio of projects, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, buildable solutions aligned with programme expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-disciplinary design management experience in a design-build environment.
• Experience in the Water/Wastewater Treatment Industry.
• Degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) preferred.
• Chartered Engineer in an engineering discipline.
• APM Project Fundamentals Qualification.
• APM Project Management Qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design team to meet customer requirements and project objectives.
• Ensure design deliverables are produced within allocated resources and timelines.
• Organise design elements and document in Design Management Plan; provide monthly status updates.
• Attend programme, project and technical meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure technical solutions are cost-effective, high quality, and on schedule.
• Provide technical support during construction, assembly, and commissioning stages.
• Uphold CDM, health & safety standards and quality assurance.
