Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking Senior/Principal Civil Engineers to lead design teams on water sector projects in the UK and internationally.

You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality and schedule while addressing client needs and expanding service delivery. Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, chartered status or progress toward ICE/CIWEM, and proven experience mentoring staff and delivering intricate projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Chartered status or progression toward ICE/CIWEM.
• Experience leading civil engineering design teams.
• Delivery of projects within budget and schedule.
• Mentoring junior staff and developing their skills.
• Client-facing experience and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical, quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Shape the delivery of services and identify opportunities to deliver complementary services.
• Build relationships with clients to ensure outcomes and satisfaction.
• Contribute to innovative approaches, new services and digital products.
• Contribute to Future Ready and Net Zero programmes.
• Act as an ambassador for best practice within the Asset Design team and on Client sponsored initiatives.
• Undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development.
• Line manage and support the professional development of graduate engineers and degree apprentices.
• Contribute to recruitment and growth of the civil engineering team.
• Continue your career journey through development of technical, managerial and leadership skills.
