Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to join the Networks & Drainage Solutions team in Sheffield, working with the Derby office to deliver wastewater network improvement and CSO reduction projects across the UK.
You will lead technical delivery from feasibility through to construction, mentor engineers, and apply digital tools and integrated drainage solutions. A Civil Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer status are essential, with strong UK water-sector experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Chartered Engineer (ICE/CIWEM) or working towards chartership.
- Strong experience in wastewater network, CSO, drainage or related water-sector projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery on wastewater network and CSO projects from feasibility through detailed design.
- Oversee production of reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications with quality and consistency.
- Develop solutions to reduce CSO spills and improve network performance.
- Collaborate with hydraulic modellers, surveyors, geotechnical engineers and other disciplines.
