Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Sheffield invites a Senior/Principal Engineer to lead wastewater network improvement and CSO reduction projects. You will work with hydraulic modellers, environmental specialists and other disciplines, delivering feasibility studies through to construction support while mentoring junior engineers and driving sustainable drainage approaches. Hybrid working across sites is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (ICE/CIWEM) or working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering wastewater network/CSO projects.
• Knowledge of UK standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on wastewater and CSO projects from feasibility to delivery.
• Lead reports, calculations, drawings and specifications with high quality output.
• Develop solutions to reduce CSO spills and improve network performance.
• Act as technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with hydraulic modellers, surveyors, geotechnical engineers and other disciplines.
• Support sustainable/nature-based interventions in catchments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
