Our work keeps Scotland’s water flowing, from reservoir to tap and from sewer to treatment plant. Join our Technical Support and Assurance (TSA) Team in Scottish Water’s Environment, Planning and Assurance Directorate as a Senior Civil Engineer on a permanent basis.

The TSA is the Centre of Engineering Excellence & Technical Leadership across Scottish Water and our partners, standardising delivery, maximising value and quality, and reducing emissions.

What you’ll do

  • Manage technical risk on capital projects and support partners and project teams.
  • Maintain water quality, protect the environment, and meet regulatory standards.
  • Provide civil engineering support, technical leadership, and promote standardisation.
  • Engage with planning, operational teams, and industry stakeholders.
  • Evaluate design solutions balancing cost, carbon, safety, and risk.
  • Support the delivery of Scottish Water's capital programme throughout project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the development of the design library and standards.

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, preferably Chartered or working towards it.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience in water and wastewater design and construction.
  • A driving licence (preferred) as some travel is involved.
