Job summary

VGC Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead on a major infrastructure project in England, overseeing all engineering activities on site and ensuring work aligns with project specifications. You will manage a team of site engineers and provide technical leadership throughout construction.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree and at least 3 years of varied site experience, with strong communication, problem-solving, and construction management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' site experience on civil projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of construction management principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site engineering activities.
• Supervise site engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Prepare RAMS and ITPs for works on site.
• Produce Temporary Works Briefs and associated plans.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and planning updates.
• Raise and manage NCRs and review TQs.
• Identify and communicate early warnings and risks.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
