Job summary

Arup in Newcastle is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead technically challenging infrastructure and site development projects, from data centre campuses to utility networks. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver surface water drainage, foul drainage, utilities coordination, earthworks, highways and development infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or similar field.
• Chartered status or equivariant experience.
• Experience delivering drainage, utilities and infrastructure design on complex projects.
• Strong technical skills and ability to manage design packages.
• Confident communicator with experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering packages on complex projects.
• Develop drainage, utilities and infrastructure strategies that support project objectives and future growth.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and interfaces with external stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, resources, budgets and technical quality.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support project bids, proposals and business development activities.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
• Act as a technical reviewer and champion best practice across the team.
