Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead civil engineering design and project coordination, delivering innovative client solutions across the project lifecycle. Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a multi-disciplinary organisation.
• Chartered engineer (CEng) or working towards chartered status.
• Design experience with post-graduation experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for highway/surface design.
• Knowledge of Infodrainage and SuDS design.
• Experience with earthworks cut and fill assessments.
• Understanding of Section 38/278/104/106/185 agreements.
• Experience communicating with statutory bodies.
• Experience from concept to completion (calculations, drawings, specs).
• Familiar with Building Regs Part H, M, BS and DMRB.
• Understanding of BIM in civil design.
• Confidence in design work and project delivery.
• Apply technical expertise to solve complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Leading project teams
• Interfacing with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Assist with client / project proposals to win new work
• Representing Ridge at client and project meetings to present designs and make key project decisions
• Undertake, co-ordinate and manage highways and drainage designs relating to large development infrastructure projects
• Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRA’s), Drainage Strategies and other pre-planning advice
• Provide day-to-day client interface, conducting site visits for technical assessment or problem-solving
• Train and/or mentor less experienced members of the team
