Our client is a global multi-disciplinary design consultancy looking to expand their Flood Risk & Drainage Team in their Central London head office.

- Civil engineering, highways design, and earthworks strategies
- Utilities, energy planning, and coordination
- Drainage, flood risk, and SuDS
- Site appraisal, due diligence, and strategic planning advice
The Role:
- Supporting the delivery of concept studies and strategies through hands-on design, leading to planning applications, technical approvals, and construction drawings
- Contributing to various development projects across sectors and clients
- Managing multiple multidisciplinary project/client accounts simultaneously
- Providing guidance and support to a team of experienced and developing technical staff
- Engaging in high-profile client interactions, stakeholder management, and design team liaison
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical and legal standards
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience in highway design, drainage strategy, flood risk assessment, utility design, and knowledge of the development industry
- Understanding of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and construction design stages
- Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, calculations, and drawings
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and experience preparing contract documents and approvals
- Awareness of climate change and sustainability guidance
- Proficiency with relevant software such as InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, or PDS
- Experience liaising with clients, authorities, and design teams to obtain approvals and statutory agreements
- Knowledge of legal, planning, design, and contractual processes related to development projects
- Postgraduate experience or nearing Chartership, with substantial professional responsibility
