Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - £45,000

This is a brilliant opportunity to join my client, a trusted, well-established, Multidisciplinary Consultancy, known for their expertise across the civil engineering, landscape architecture, and town planning fields. They are seeking a capable, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a particular interest in drainage and infrastructure, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based near the beautiful, historical city of York.

Responsibilities
  • Working on a number of projects across the residential, commercial, and retail sectors
  • Producing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Highways, and Sites, among other design projects, using the relevant software packages (e.g. Civils 3D, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Liaising with and managing clients and other stakeholders, discussing projects, timescales, resourcing, and more
  • Leading and mentoring a team of colleagues throughout projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
Required skills and experience
  • A Bachelor;s or Master\'s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a UK-based consultancy setting, in a design role
  • Extensive experience in completing Site Design, Drainage Strategies, and Road Alignment projects for Planning Applications
  • Excellent working knowledge of the relevant software packages, to include InfoDrainage and Civils 3D
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience
  • Hold Chartership Status, or proactively working to attain this
  • Prior experience of having lead design projects and/or a team
  • Good local knowledge of York and the surrounding region
