Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Cardiff-based Consulting Highways & Transportation team on a permanent basis. You will lead on the delivery of highway drainage design, mentoring junior designers and supporting the Design Team Leader, with exposure to national client projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways/civil engineering roles.
• Knowledge of design processes and standards.
• Ability to oversee design production and ensure buildable solutions.
• Experience with health, safety and welfare (CDM Regulations).
• Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent.
• Commitment to professional development plan and progression.

Responsibilities

• Lead on delivery of highway drainage design and related schemes.
• Support Design Team Leader and mentor junior designers.
• Ensure designs are produced on time and to required standards.
• Develop technical reports and design schedules.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to ensure buildable solutions.
