Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Principal Engineer in the UK, with hybrid working arrangements and significant travel. You will provide technical leadership across civil engineering, flood risk management and infrastructure projects, influencing strategy and delivering high-quality outputs.

You'll act as a senior technical authority, guide multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to early-stage strategy, governance and client relationships while mentoring engineers across the team.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in civil/environmental engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status expected, membership of MICE, MCIWEM or equivalent.
• Experience leading technical work and managing stakeholders on major infrastructure/environment projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic oversight across civil engineering, flood risk management and infrastructure projects.
• Lead design assurance, governance and technical reviews across programmes.
• Mentor engineers and support client relationships and business development.
